Whimsy: is a new gift shop in Kendrick at 609 E. Main Street, located between Honey Cut and Co. and Archie’s Place. Four local women have teamed up to offer quality handmade fun and functional items. Whimsy’s store hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment. The phone number is (208) 289-5091.

  Carole Galloway: of Freeman Creek Originals is offering a variety of Fimo clay ornaments, magnets and jewelry. She also has hand painted wooden signs and a variety of hand painted boxes and fine handmade jewelry. Carole is well known for her wonderful artistry.

Joanie Wilken: of Rabbit Run is offering her own designs of quilt patterns with matching hand painted dishware that is microwave and dishwasher safe along with a wonderful variety of hand thrown pottery. She also has her famous Sweetwater Soaps. Joanie is also offering beautiful vintage towels. Some of Joanie’s quilt designs have been shown in national quilting magazines and her patterns are sold in stores nationwide.

 Ashley Powell: of Phileo Farm is offering her natural handmade soaps, face and body creams, lip balms in a wonderful variety of scents and her own special line of mineral make-up. Ashley has knitted hats and scarves and also some beautiful and fun jewelry.

Brenda Roetcisoender: of Brenda’s Wood Creations will be offering her scroll saw creations including clocks, ornaments, shelves, shelf sitter word art and wall hangings as well as crocheted hats of various sizes and colors made with double yarn for extra warmth. Some are in the Kendrick Tiger colors! Brenda will be offering framed wall art and note cards featuring photographs she has taken around the local area and in travels with her husband. Some of Brenda’s scroll saw pattern designs have been published in Scrollsaw Woodworks and Crafts magazine (formerly Scroll Saw Workshop magazine) and her word art scroll saw patterns are sold through The Wooden Teddy Bear in Portland, Oregon.
