Ande

A cancer survivor and
mother of four grown children. Ande lives in Juliaetta with her husband
John. Ande excels in watercolor paintings. Her portraits of dogs
and cats are life-like renditions that make the viewer want to stroke
the animals fur. Her other hobbies include quilt making and artisan
bread. baking. Ande has a beautiful style.
Beverly J Finley:
Is a wife, mother and grandmother, and someone who happens to love art.
Beverly works full time in Lewiston, continuing her art through the
Juliaetta-Kendrick Watercolorist Society. Her inspiration comes from
life’s experiences, such as, her grandchildren, flying, nature, and
hunting, fishing, and biking. Many of Beverly’s painting have graphic
elements which comes from her background in graphics.
Beverly’s first art show was in the Los Angeles, California area, in the
sixth grade school office where many of her drawings and paintings were
hung. Her love for drawing and pushing color around followed throughout
her years in school and ultimately she took college courses in drawing
and oil painting. She continued learning in a related field as co-owner
of a typesetting and graphic design business. Eventually Beverly moved
to the Reno, Nevada area where she lived for 25 years. Beverly’s
educational path took her into graphic design where she completed a
Visual Communication degree. During and after college Beverly won
competitions with other students and within the community
Carol Smith:

Carol Smith is a self-taught
artist who was born and educated in New York. Due to a disabling
situation she can no longer control a brush or pen so she uses acrylic
latex paint in squeeze bottles to create colors and shapes she calls
“tactile expressionism”. Carol is always working to find different
techniques for creating abstractions. Carol is featured on the VSA web
site, has shown at many events and community locations and has had a
show at Above the Rim Gallery in Moscow.
Dana
Magnuson :
Studied
art at Pomona College, with Salvatore Grippi, David Gray, and Mowry
Baden, with emphasis on oil painting, 1995-1969. He has painted
for pastime and pleasure to the present day. He has published paintings
as compact disc liner notes for self-recorded music cd's. Dana has
contributed to Kendrick Locust Blossom Festival art shows over the
years, and participated in a three-person show at Above the Rim Gallery
in Moscow in 2006. He is currently establishing a private
gallery/studio at 101 N. Sixth in Kendrick and hopes to be
presenting regularly by 2010. The gallery is currently showing
the artist's work and works by Anna Magnuson.
Debbie Chan :
Debbie was born in Houston,
Texas on the first day of spring of the lunar calendar in the year 1951.
She gave up a dream of becoming a zoo veterinarian for an even bigger
dream of pursuing art. She began exhibiting in group and solo shows in
Houston and by 35 was showing worldwide. She finally found an
excellent Chinese painting teacher and launched a new career. She has
added relief carving and glass etching to her repertoire. Debbi’s art
remains very traditionally Chinese but now reflects the northwest.
Mickey
Chamberlain:

Mickey
Chamberlain began drawing with crayons at the age of 2. In 1999
(fast-forward 41 years), she enrolled in the talented Helen Grainger
Wilson's watercolor instruction class and hasn't stopped painting yet.
She enjoys painting flowers from the photos she takes of her gardens.
Living in the Northwest has greatly inspired her creativity in producing
Native American themed watercolors and pastels. Her current aspiration
is to paint unique and realistic looking rusty old cars in
watercolors. Other creative expression includes making glass jewelry and
mosaics for the home and garden. She has taught watercolor and mosaic
classes to children and has been lucky enough to exhibit her work
locally.
Norma Abrams

Norma Abrams love of art comes from the earth, living
on a farm and enjoying all of God’s wonders. She completed an Art
Instruction class by correspondence in 1984. She took a floral design
class at Lewis Clark State College in 1990 and worked as a floral
designer for seven years. Her primary mediums are oil paints, pastels
and pencil. She does fresh and silk flower arrangements for weddings,
funerals and other occasions. She is also currently involved with
decoupage and tile painting. Norma has been involved with the local
Arts Commission since 2007.
Sally Manfull

Sally Manfull has been a resident of this
community for 48 years. Much of her art is inspired by her love of
flowers and shapes in nature such as driftwood. She began painting in
oil and in recent years has been experimenting with watercolors. She
also enjoys painting terra cotta flower pots.

Western and wildlife
art, hand painted lamp shades, miniature cowboy paintings, hand
painted feathers, original paintings of pack strings, scenery paintings
and ranch art are the passion of this artist. Many unique
one of a kind gift and collector items available.
Sandi has traveled extensively showing in Kansas City, Milwaukee,
Dallas, Fort Worth, Tulsa, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Abilene, and many
other cities. Custom orders are encouraged.
Teri Tate Hornberger;
Has been painting for over 40 years. She learned
watercolor doing Chinese brush painting while living in Taiwan, but
since that time she has learned oils, pastels, pen and ink, acrylics and
watercolor. While in Southern Texas as 'Snow Birds', Teri began
teaching watercolor classes at one of the parks. This was the beginning
of finding her calling in the art world. She started teaching adults,
but expanded to teaching kids when she and her husband moved to
Watertown, SD. Since coming to the Kendrick/Juliaetta area, Teri has
been teaching students at the Juliaetta Elementary School thru the
K/J Arts Commission. Now, Teri is showing her work at different venues
in the Kendrick area, and watching the opportunities expand in the
surrounding communities.
